This was exactly the case with a recent request from our client, Robert. He needed a lighting solution for a wedding venue signage project. The goal was simple: create a warm, inviting glow that would complement the romantic atmosphere of the event.

The Challenge: From SPI Pixel to Single White

Initially, Robert’s project could have been served by our standard SPI pixel lights (commonly featuring UCS1903 or GS8206 ICs for full‑color effects). However, for his specific application, he didn’t need color‑changing or pixel‑mapping capabilities. He needed something more focused:

Our Solution: A Custom Single‑White Cabochon Light

We custom‑designed a 360° 60mm Single White Cabochon Light specifically for Robert’s wedding signage project, using:

• 18 SMD5050 LEDs (12 front + 6 back) for true 360° light distribution

• Warm white 2700K for a cozy, romantic glow

• DC24V for safe, efficient operation

• No IC / non‑addressable for simplicity and reliability
